OVERVIEW & EXPERIENCE
Ms. Bussey has practiced in workers’ compensation for approximately 18 years and counting and was Board Certified as a specialist in Florida workers’ compensation from 2007 to 2017. For 4 years, Ms. Bussey also managed nationwide workers’ compensation claims and a return-to-work program for a large national construction installation services company with 10,000+ employees. Her focus is primarily workers’ compensation representing public and private employers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators. She has also assisted in other claims involving employment issues, auto accidents, general and product liability.

SELECTED HONORS & RECOGNITION
Ms. Bussey was Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a workers’ compensation specialist from 2007 to 2017. Ms. Bussey was appointed by the Florida Bar as a member of the Workers’ Compensation Board Certification Committee from 2015-2017. Ms. Bussey was also appointed by the Florida Bar as a member of the Rules Committee for Workers’ Compensation for 2020 – 2023. Ms. Bussey is a Certified Legal Instructor. After years of volunteer work with the Florida Guardian ad Litem program, Ms. Bussey was awarded the Elizabeth Susan Khoury Award of Excellence for Pro Bono Service.
